Frances’ equestrian career started at age 8 in East
Sussex; here she began riding lessons and was soon spending most of her time at the
stables.
Her first horse, Jack, arrived when she was 12, and he taught her one of the hardest
lessons: how to deal with a cranky horse with a mind of his own. Frances learned
